a team that actually cares.
Michael Jordan ending his speech at his hall of fame ceremony with encouraging words.
Happy 50th Birthday to the greatest of all time.
When the Chicago Bulls received the 1st overall pick in the 2008 NBA lottery with a 1.7 percent chance, their fate was changed forever.
Hometown kid and local legend, Derrick Rose was the top prospect coming out of Memphis fresh off his National Championship appearance. It was a no brainer for the Bulls General Manager Gar Forman and then Head Coach, Vinny Del Negro. In his four seasons in Chicago, Rose has made the Bulls one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference every season and has given the Bulls fans a new hero to idolize since “His Airness,” Michael Jordan retired from the game for the final time. Their new hero and savior is however not invincible or indestructible.
During Game 1 of the first round matchup between the Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers, Rose tore his ACL in his left knee. The Bulls went on to win that game but crumbled after the severity of the injury was revealed, as they lost the series to the much inferior 76ers.
Chicago collectively held the breath, as their new superstar was injured. (TNT)
